How Rhinoplasty Works

Clients who visit any international medical clinic in Dubai show interest in the wide range of dermatology services in Dubai. Many women and men are now showing interest in plastic surgery and dermatological procedures to look their best at all times.

Rhinoplasty in Dubai is a procedure offered in many clinics in Jumeirah. Many are still uncertain about getting this procedure as they are not sure what to expect after the surgery.
As rhinoplasty is the art of reshaping a nose, clients inquire about making small noses larger and sharper, or larger noses small. Not only can the size be adjusted with this procedure even the angle can be adjusted and indentations and bumps in the nose can be rectified.

The procedure of a rhinoplasty surgery includes making an incision in the nose to access the cartilage and bones. These incisions will be made inside the nose in a manner that it will not be visible to the naked eye after the surgery. Depending on the desired look the surgeons may either remove few tissues, cartilages and bones or it may be added using synthetic fillers or from another body part. Once the desired structure of the nose is achieved the tissue and skin will be draped over the nose. A splint will be place till the nose heals to support the new shape.

The surgery will be done under local or general anesthesia. With the advanced technologies it can be now carried out as a outpatient procedure, but at times a client may be requested to stay over-night at the medical clinic. Rhinoplasty surgeries are only carried out by trained plastic surgeons or otolaryngologist.

The bandage and splint could be removed in approximately a week. It is common for patients to experience a level of discomfort, including puffiness around the area and a swollen and bruised nose for several days. With cold compression and pain killers this can be controlled till it wears off in a week or two.

Doctors will also advice to keep the head as still as possible and slightly elevated in the first few days after the surgery. Strenuous activity will need to be avoided for several weeks.
